Sephora VIB Sale

Thursday, November 10, 2016

It's one of my favorite times of the year... the Sephora VIB sale starts today! I get super excited for this sale every year because (1) high end makeup rarely goes on sale and (2) it gives me a good chance to stock up on my favorites so when I run out, I don't have to pay full price. Today, I'm sharing with you a few of my makeup favorites and I'm throwing in a few products that I'll be purchasing in the sale as well.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation // I recently purchased this actually and I LOVE it. It's a great everyday foundation for me. It stays put throughout the day and make my skin look flawless. I highly recommend checking this out if your in the market for a new foundation!

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer // I've heard of this concealer for years now and just recently tried it out. I now see why everyone calls this their "holy grail" concealer! It has great coverage and isn't cakey at all. This is a must have for me and I wear the shade 'custard'.

Nars Bronzer in 'Laguna' // I purchased this product probably 6 years ago when I first started wearing higher end makeup. It's been a makeup bag staple of mine ever since. It's a great color for my skin tone and I love the color it adds to my skin! Definitely an all time favorite of mine.

Tartelette in Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette // I can't say enough good things about this palette. For one, the colors are gorgeous and two, they go on so easily and blend out perfectly. I love that they only included 3 shimmers in this palette and went with 9 mattes. I love having more matte shades for my crease than shimmers. I'd say definitely snag this palette while its 20% off. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz // I will admit that I definitely don't do my brows every day, but when I do, I have to have this piece of art. Seriously, I'm not sure how I ever tried to do my brows before. This makes it so easy to shape your brows while still keeping them looking natural. I won't ever run out of one of these!

Too Faced Better Than False Lashes Extreme! // A friend of mine recommended this mascara to me several weeks ago. I will admit, I was skeptical at first because all I was gathering from her was "best mascara ever" and "there's these fiber things." But I ordered anyway and was blown away. Thanks Lema! Basically, you put on a coat of black mascara. Then you take the smaller tube of fibers and run that over the mascara you just applied. The fibers will stick to the tacky mascara on your lashes. Then you do another coat of the black mascara to lengthen the fibers even more and voila... you literally have what looks like fake lashes!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette // This is an item I'm purchasing in the sale... and I'm sure you can see why. Look at those GORGE fall shades. I die. I can't wait to play with this once it comes in!
Bite Beauty: The Perfect Bite Set // Every year during the VIB sale I purchase some sort of mini collection of lipsticks or lip glosses. Last year I purchased the Bite lip pencils and LOVED them. I wore them all the time, so this year I'm doing the same. I actually think last years set came in this same red tin box. I love the idea of buying minis because honestly I never use a whole full sized lipstick because I like getting different ones and trying out different colors. My favorites are constantly changing so to me, this is a great way to get to try out 4 colors and this set is only $25 + 20% off.

I'm linking a few more of the items that I think are great buys below! I'll most likely be purchasing a few of them as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

Crushing on Copper

Since mine and Jess's engagement a few months ago, I've been in full on wedding planning mode. From picking out flowers to deciding on centerpieces, I've been in heaven planning for the day I walk down the isle. I haven't only been dreaming about the day I become a Posey, but I've been dreaming of our future together and what day to day life will be like. From our future kitchen and dining room, I can't wait to decorate and fill our home with new goodies. I've been researching (or should I say pinterest-ing) for ideas on how to decorate each and every room of our house. This picture below pretty much started my obsession with copper. From mugs to serving ware, I pretty much want it all.

I've been searching a ton of sites for my favorite copper pieces and I'm sharing them with ya'll today. Some of them are pretty affordable and some are splurges... but hey I said I was dreaming right?

My Favorite Fall Accessory

Friday, October 28, 2016

Happy Friday ya'll! I can't believe it's HALLOWEEN weekend already. Like what? I feel like I've been under a rock for the past 3 months. Well, I'm crawling out of hiding to share with you my new favorite fall accessory... this gorgeous wooden watch by Jord Watches.

It's all black with hints of gold and I'm obsessed. I love the minimalist design on the large watch face. It definitely contrasts well with the unique wooden band. I chose the black option because I tend to wear darker colors in the fall. They have a ton of different wood options and color combinations that are lighter if that's what you're looking for. This watch is really lightweight which I like because its comfortable and doesn't weigh my wrist down like my Michael Kors watch. Check out the Jord women's watch collection here.

I made the mistake of bragging about my gorgeous new watch to the fiancé and we have not one, but two people obsessed. They have an amazing men's collection that would make a perfect gift for the upcoming holidays. I may already have one person's gift picked out now. Jess loves the Dover Series Watch in Koa & Black.

Now for the super EXCITING part... I've teamed up with Jord Watches to give one reader a $75 gift card to shop their site! All you have to do is click HERE and fill out your name and email. It's that easy! What's even better is EVERY entrant receives a $20 e-gift code automatically emailed to them just for entering. The contest ends November 13 at 11:59pm. The codes expire on January 1, 2017.

Let me know which watch is your favorite in the comments below. Thanks for stopping by and good luck!

Fall is in the Air

Saturday, October 15, 2016

Who else is super excited for cooler weather? We've gotten a few days here and there in Alabama and I must say, I've taken full advantage. A few nights ago I went to dinner in my favorite jeans, long sleeve tee, and blanket scarf. It was only 75 degrees so maybe overkill, but oh well.

When it's still too warm outside to wear scarves and cardigans, I opt for something that screams fall but lets you not sweat to death... hence this adorable outfit. I'm absolutely loving everything about it. I wore it the other weekend when hanging out with one of my girlfriends. The skirt is super affordable at only $18, so you don't have to worry about breaking the bank for such a trendy item. I paired it with this bell sleeve top to totally play up the 70s vibes. Groovy right?

This past weekend we had our first wedding shower. It was absolutely perfect and I felt so spoiled being surrounded by our friends and families.

At the Pumpkin Patch

Monday, October 3, 2016

Over the weekend (October 1st actually), my friend Andrea and I went to a little pumpkin patch right outside of Birmingham. It's called The Great Pumpkin Patch and it is in Hayden, AL. It was a super cute patch with lots of activities going on. There was plenty of food vendors and tons of fun things for kids to do. There were blow up jumpy things (no idea what you call those), face painting, and even horses you could ride around. We took a little hay ride out to the patch and of course posed for some pics!

Tank Dress: Natural Life c/o // Button up: J. Crew Factory // Booties: Treasure&Bond // Purse old (similar here)

I love this tank dress by Natural Life. It's super soft and comfortable. I don't think you can ever have enough casual dresses like this one. They are so versatile and can be dressed up or down depending on where you're going. I opted for my favorite fall booties and a flannel tied around my waist. I love this casual look and I'm sure I'll be sporting it again before it gets too cold.

Bachelorette Weekend Recap

Friday, September 30, 2016

In today's post, I'll be sharing a ton of pics from my bachelorette weekend and recapping where we ate, shopped, etc. Six of my friends and I all drove down to Seaside, Florida which is home to some of the prettiest beaches I've ever seen. I decided to have my bachelorette over Labor Day weekend so we all had an extra day of fun... and trust me, we did just that! Scroll down to the bottom for food and shopping recommendations!

The weekend started off when Andrea brought us doughnuts for the trip! We technically still had one lab to do at school, but this totally made my day!

After 5.5 long hours of driving, Olivia, Andrea, and I finally arrived and everyone else was already there. They totally surprised me and all yelled as soon as I walked up to the house. As you can see I'm clearly carrying the most precious cargo into the house first. #donutsarelife

The decorations were AMAZING. Plus, the girls all got together and threw me a surprise lingerie shower. We actually played a game where I had to guess who gave me what and I was really awful at it. It was still so fun!

Everyone ordered beach tanks that said "Last Fling Before the Ring." On the front side, everyone got their monogram. I'm actually really sad because we weren't able to get a picture with everyone in their tanks on the beach. I was planning on doing it Sunday but it rained all day.

Julianna surprised everyone with these cute tumblers to drink out of all weekend. She even monogrammed everyones. Of course, I had to snap a cute picture while laying out Saturday.

We were getting ready to go eat Saturday night at the Red Bar and I took this opportunity to snap a real quick pic! Find this super cute ALOHA sign here. My romper is Judith March.

This was on Sunday after our rainy day. We all went into Seaside and shopped around. Everyone ended up getting Seaside shirts or sweatshirts so we obviously posed for a pic.

Allie, my maid of honor, got everyone these super cute coozies in their gift baskets and I LOVE them.

This pic was from Sunday when we ate and shopped around Seaside. Find my romper here.

Where we ate:
Friday night & Saturday lunch: We grabbed food at Publix and all ate in the house.

Saturday Dinner: We ate at the Red Bar and it was delicious. I highly recommend it. Also, it's not strictly seafood so you can order chicken (what I got) if you don't like seafoood.

Sunday Lunch: We ate at Mi Casita Mexican Grill. It was SO yummy and not crowded at all because it's not in the heart of seaside.

Sunday Dinner: We ended up driving up to Seaside pretty late and eating at the food trucks. Everyone was able to get what they wanted wether it was BBQ from Barefoot BBQ, grilled cheese sandwiches from the Meltdown, or hot dogs from Wild Bills. I highly recommend doing this too because it's such a cute area and afterwards you can shop around.

Where we shopped:

We went into almost every store in Seaside. Our favorite store however was one that carried all tees haha! Everyone of us ended up getting matching seaside shirts (see the pic above). I ended up getting a tee and a sweatshirt. They are comfort colors too which is a huge plus! I love keeping sweatshirts in my car in the fall/winter because you never know when you're going to need an extra layer of warmth.

I'm seriously so thankful for all the girls that came and made my weekend so special. I love you all!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog.

Early Fall Outfit

Tuesday, September 27, 2016

So I did a really similar look to this outfit severals week ago but with my utility vest over. I wanted to show ya'll how cute this would be with a cardigan overtop a striped tee and shorts. This is great for those days where you're out and about during the day when its warm, but you are also heading somewhere at night and need an extra layer for warmth. I love love love this cardigan and also got it in wine because it's that awesome! It's so simple but is a great layering piece and I highly recommend it!

Tory Burch Fall Sale (30% off sitewide!)

Thursday, September 22, 2016

Hey ya'll! I can't believe it's been over a month since I've posted. Time really has been going by so fast with school this semester. I've been non-stop studying and haven't had much time for anything else. But rest assured, today's post is a BIG DEAL because I'm bringing you news of the Tory Burch sale. Usually you have to spend a certain amount to get higher discounts. I think last year it was spend $300, get 15% off and you had to spend $750 to get 30% off. Well, they've changed the sale and now you only have to spend $250 to get 30% off! Crazy right?! Just use the code FALL16. I've posted some of my sale favorites below!

One of my favorite casual fall outfits last year was styled with my Tory Burch riding boots! This year's version is included in the sale and is $150 off!

Here's a closer up view of the boots I got last year in the sale.

This is another one of my favorite fall outfits created with my TB riding boots. They look great with leggings and boot socks.

I can't believe they are including the York Tote in the sale this year. It's one of their most popular and most affordable totes. Originally $295, this beauty is only $206.50 in the sale. It also comes in a ton of other colors!

To see all the items in the sale, check it out here
