Casual Fall Layers

I celebrated my 23 birthday last week and this is what I wore to class. We had a test and quiz that day so I'm surprised I was able to put on anything more than a t shirt. What I love about wearing vests is that they are so easy to just throw over a plain shirt or sweater and add a scarf and you look put together! It takes almost no time or effort which I definitely need on a morning I am running late or don't have a lot of time to get ready. The puffer vests are currently on sale for $49 too which is a great deal! I think I own like 6 of them which is probably overkill but I love the added warmth they give to my outfit during the winter. 

Today we are getting out for Thanksgiving break, which for me is weird because I normally have a whole week for Thanksgiving break. Nonetheless, I'm so excited to go home and see my family and eat some good southern home cooked meals.

Skincare Routine

Clarisonic | Face wash | Toner | Moisturizer | Makeup wipes

I decided to write a blog about my everyday skincare routine! It's pretty simple because I only use these 5 items. I hope this helps you if your looking for some new products to try. I also wanted to let you know these items are a little pricey, but that's because I think taking care of your skin is really important. I would rather spend a little more money on skin care items to ensure that my skin will be looking great 20 or 30 years from now! 

Step 1: I use these makeup wipes to remove my makeup before I wash my face. This helps get most of the make up off so my clarisonic brush doesn't get really dirty.

Step 2: I squirt a little bit of this face wash onto my clarisonic brush head and massage it into my face to evenly spread out the face wash before I turn it on. I use it for one full cycle!

Step 3: After I was my face, I pour a little bit of this gentle toning lotion on a cotton ball and apply it to my face and neck. This helps get rid of any extra or leftover makeup my face wash might not have gotten. I've read reviews where this toner helps diminish blackheads on your nose which is why I love it so much. 

Step 4: My favorite step: moisturizer. This is my all time favorite moisturizer because it's very light and a little bit goes a long way. I love the way it smells and it makes your skin so soft. 

I do this routine every night before I go to bed. In the morning I only do steps 2-4 because I don't need to use the makeup wipes. Also, I never sleep in my makeup! It's really bad for your skin because you don't want all of that gunk seeping into your pores for an extra 6-8 hours. My last piece of skincare advice is to wear a foundation or moisturizer with SPF in it! You may not notice a difference now but in 30 years, your skin will thank you. You will have less wrinkles and sun spots.

How To Style a Barbour Jacket

Good news friends! If you have been wanting a Barbour jacket but didn't want to fork out almost $400, I found this popular Barbour Beadnell jacket on sale for over $100 off, making it around $250. I've never seen these on sale for that much, especially the more popular ones. Jess got me the Beadnell last year for my birthday and I wear it all the time! It goes with almost all of my wardrobe, plus it is so warm. I 100% recommend it if your looking for a jacket to last you 10 or 15 years. They are made in Europe and are such good quality.  

When I saw my jacket on sale, I decided to write a post about how I style mine! (PS all of these items are on sale right now.) I love wearing it over plaid shirts. This one is 30% off and perfect for Christmas! I also love wearing it with simple tees like this striped one. The camp socks that I wear with my duck boots are 30% off making them $12! I am also loving these rain booties that are only $42. They look so chic they could be worn with any outfit and even if it isn't raining! I still can't believe this jacket is on sale and I'm sure it will sell out when more people see it!

I LOVE Christmas! Besides being able to spend time with all of my family that I don't get to see much anymore and all the delicious holiday food, one of my favorite things about Christmas is giving! I love picking out presents for other people, wrapping them, then watching as they open them. 

I decided to put together a few items that I thought would make great Christmas gifts for those people who don't have time to shop or just need ideas for gifts. All of these items are under $30 and would make excellent gifts. My personal favorites are the pom-pom mittens (because who doesn't need to keep their hands warm during the winter), that plaid scarf, and the lip set. I bought last years lip set by Bite and I love it and still wear it all the time. Its perfect because you get 4 different shades that go with pretty much any outfit! I highly recommend it.

I'm a Georgia girl at heart so I love any black and red combo. I'm also obsessed with anything gingham (I have a navy gingham blouse that I wear all the time) and you probably already know I'm a vest lover, so this black gingham vest was perfect for me! It also comes in navy! I love how it looks paired over this red turtleneck! These turtlenecks are awesome by the way. I have another one in the natural color. Adding this glam necklace gave my outfit a little extra pop! I wore this outfit Friday to class and one of the ladies that works at UAB stopped me to compliment my outfit and really loved this necklace. She asked me why I was so dressed up and my response was "It's Friday." That's enough reason to celebrate in my opinion! I kind of feel like all I do is study recently, but hey it'll all pay off! Anyway, back to his gorge necklace... It's stunning and I can't wait to wear it non-stop for the holidays!

Fluffy Vest + Maroon Skirt

So you know when you walk past fluffy blankets in the home sections of stores and you can't resist the urge to reach out and feel how soft they are? That is exactly how I feel about this vest! It is so unbelievably soft and warm. I can't wait to wear it later in the season when it gets really cold. I have also been on a skirt kick lately and I'm loving this one. I have been wanting a suede skirt and this material is so similar. Plus, if you don't have a striped turtleneck you definitely need one. Its a versatile fall staple that you'll see me wear again and again this fall. 

I watched the CMA's last night and all I can say is wow! It was amazing and I must say Justin Timberlake killed it. What did ya'll think?
