Fourth of July Inspiration

I can already smell it now… that quintessential aroma of hotdogs and hamburgers sizzling on the grill. I can hear the blaring music coming from the boat speakers as they pass by, and I can feel the warm Georgia sun on my skin. It’s one of my favorite holidays, the Fourth of July. With good time spent with family and friends and a little fun in the summer sun, how could the Fourth not be anyone’s favorite?

Last year, I remember my celebrations were cut a little short because I was a week out from taking the Optometry Admissions Test to get into school. It was totally worth it though because I’m a few weeks away from starting optometry school, but this year I plan to actually enjoy myself on July 4^th.  I’ll definitely be outside most of the day so I knew I wanted to wear something that was breathable but also comfortable because you never know when your going to get sucked into playing a little backyard game of football.

This outfit is perfect for my Fourth of July plans… a plain white tee with navy shorts and this adorable Old Navy scarf I scored for $10.  Let’s not forget my arm party though. I just got this white off the shoulder blouse, but I can already tell it's going to be a summer favorite. I'm currently imagining about 5 different ways I can wear it. Also, could this colorful clutch be any more perfect for summer? It's not too small so it can definitely fit all of my necessities. Another addition to the summer favorites list are my new colorful bracelets that are handmade by Marianna Mae Design! I've been obsessed with these pretties since I opened them up. I love all things colorful so I'll be wearing them with pretty much everything this summer.

I think this dress has been one of my favorite purchases from The Red Dress Boutique, and trust me, I've made plenty. I worked there for two years so it's safe to assume about half of my wardrobe is Red Dress. I love this dress (a) because its striped and stripes are my favorite thing to wear for summer and (b) because of the cut of this dress. It's the T-shirt style cut so it's loose like an oversized T-shirt which makes it super comfortable and easy to wear. This specific color is sold out, but I've linked the other color way it comes in.

Anthropologie Tag Sale

I put together a few of my favorites from the Anthropologie Tag Sale. They have some great items on sale, so go check it out!

I have been obsessed with these shorts since I first saw them! They are absolutely gorgeous in person and have almost all of the sizes left.

These pants are definitely my favorite item in the sale. I purchased them at full price in March and haven't regretted it one bit. They are my favorite pants I own and I've gotten countless compliments on them. They feel like pajamas but don't look like it. At only $40, I'd say these are a must have!

How adorable is this little bucket bag? I love the colors, design, and of course the tassels.

Jeweled sandals are in this summer, but many have been retailing for over $150. These Sam Edelman sandals are a great buy at only $80

This watercolor blouse is gorgeous! Still a little pricey at $70, but it's made of silk and is amazing quality. 

This embroidered blouse is begging to be in my closet. (Do you see the tassels?)

You can never have to many comfy tees. This grey and white striped tunic is super cute and has great back detailing.

I think we all need this tee to remind us of the weekend! With it's nautical vibe, I think it'll fit perfectly in my summer wardrobe!

Last but not least, the most amazing jumpsuit I've ever seen. I love the print of this little beauty and the tiered bodice. It's perfect for a beach trip or cruise this summer.

I wore this outfit to my mom's birthday dinner last night at one of our favorite restaurants. I was in a bit of a hurry to get ready and threw this together at the last minute and really ended up loving it. It's super simple with just a navy gingham shirt, white jeans and a few accessories.

I've been super obsessed with this shirt ever since I got it while visiting Jess's brother in Arizona in March! The shopping out there was amazing!! This shirt is super comfortable and lightweight - perfect for the South GA heat. Right now it's on mega sale and this color is almost sold out, but they have a navy/silver combination that is just as gorgeous as the gold. These sandals have been by go-to ever since I got them. I've received tons of compliments, and for under $30 I'd say they were a great purchase.

This gorgeous romper has me dreaming of the Bahamas (or really anywhere with sun and sand). Seriously though, what's not to love? It has a tropical print, bright colors, and even tassels. Not to mention it's super comfortable and even has pockets. I'll definitely be wearing this all summer long, even if I'm not in the Bahamas.

Happy Monday ya'll! I had an amazing time this weekend at my friend's bachelorette party. We beached it, ate some amazing food, and went dancing! (I may or may not have convinced the DJ to play Shania Twain). Needless to say, we had a great time celebrating the bride to be! 

I'm loving this colorful romper for summertime. I wore it a few weeks ago at my going away party at Red Dress Boutique, and it was so comfortable. This romp will most likely be packed on every beach trip I go on. Oh, and these tassel bracelets are gorgeous. I get so many compliments on them every time I wear them and they are under $20!
