This may be one of my favorite easy summer outfits. What's easier than a simple white blouse, distressed denim, and flats? And what's even better, my shirt and jeans are both on sale! This top is probably one of the most popular items in the #NordstromSale, and I can definitely see why. It's long enough to pair with leggings and boots in the fall, but can also be tucked into shorts or pants, making it versatile to wear year round. I ordered the green color (perfect for fall)  also and I'm thinking about going back to order the black before the sale is over! I ordered these jeans when Nasty Gal was having a sale and I'm so glad I did. I've been looking for a pair of distressed denim that didn't break the bank and these were perfect. 

I think adding the pops of pink to this outfit really really make it girly and fun. I'm also loving these Elle Gray statement earrings. Check out their site for some gorgeous jewels at amazing prices.

Casual Beachy Look With Sweetest Stitch

I'm back!!! I apologize for being MIA and not posting anything this past week. As you can tell from the pictures, I was vacationing at the beach. To be honest, I didn't do much of anything but soak up lots of sun, eat delicious seafood, and spend time with my boyfriend's family. It was such a nice break and a great end to the summer (that was way too short). 

I am loving this top from Sweetest Stitch. I really like the exposed shoulders so I can show off my tan and the stitching detail on the front is gorgeous. You can definitely dress it up with white skinnies and a pair of wedges, but I took a more casual route with shorts and a hat. You probably can't tell but it was so windy in these pictures, so the hat was a lifesaver. Also, thank you Mrs. Traci (my bf's mom) for taking these pictures for me. She did an awesome job!

PS. I move into my apartment in Birmingham this week. So naturally I'm not ready and have a million things left to do. Good thing school doesn't start until August 17!

Transitioning into Fall

We went shopping while in California and I found these shorts in H&M for $7! I'm pretty much obsessed with them and they'll be the perfect transition into fall. Early fall in Georgia is still pretty hot so this is a great outfit for those hot days when I still want to wear fall fashion. I also snagged this hat at H&M and I had trouble finding it online so I just linked a couple of ones that are similar. Also, these Madewell tees are so comfortable and under $20. I bought the grey color while we were out in California too. They are a lot cheaper than ones I've bought at J. Crew but I think I like these more. They are a little more oversized.

This striped shirt dress is perfect for summer. It's lightweight and comfortable and long enough to be worn for work. I wore it in San Francisco to take Jess's niece and nephew to see the Minions (it was so cute). I paired it with a denim jacket because here in San Francisco it gets a little windy and chilly. This tote bag is perfect for traveling! I carried some extra items in it on the plane and also carried my camera around town and it was definitely big enough. I'm thinking about purchasing it in the cognac/coral color too! 

We are heading home on the plane today and have a whole day of traveling ahead of us. We had an amazing time in San Francisco and absolutely love the city. We are counting down the days until we can come back and visit.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Wishlist

I must say I'm really impressed with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale... so much so that I finally signed up to get a Nordstrom card so I could shop the sale early and get the items I wanted before they sold out. The first item I purchased was this blouse in green and ivory. I'm actually thinking about ordering it in the Sphinx color as well. I can definitely see these blouses being staples year round so I don't mind stocking up on a couple colors while they are on sale. The second item I knew I wanted to purchase were these black heels. I have been looking for a good scrappy pair of black heels and when I saw these were on sale I snagged them! 

I still have the rest of the above on my wish list and lets be honest, I'll probably go back and order something else! I'm really eyeing those over the knee black boots and thinking about going to the Nordstrom here in San Francisco to try them on. 

Jess and I have been having a great time here in San Francisco spending time with family. We have been to two Giants games so far. Jess says I bring good luck because whenever we go fishing I always catch the biggest fish, and Friday night at my first game, the Giants had the most hits in Giants history since they moved to San Francisco. We also went shopping and exploring Friday before the game and ate at Fog Harbor Fish House in Fisherman's Wharf. It was delicious and there were beautiful views of the bay. We have two days left

As you guys can tell, I couldn't wait to style this scalloped skirt again. This time I paired it with a denim shirt for a more casual look and I love how it turned out. I also love how denim and white looks together especially during the summer. This little federa with the denim trim is a great summer hat. It's from target and only $12!

Black + White Summer Outfit

Happy Monday ya'll! I hope your Fourth of July Weekend was fabulous. I had a very relaxing weekend spending time with my boyfriend's family. They smoked sausage, ribs, and chicken on Saturday and it was absolutely delicious. We finished the night by lighting fireworks in the backyard. I'm a little sad the weekend is already over but the good news is we leave for San Francisco in only four days!

This outfit incorporates some of my favorite summer trends... pom detailing, scallops, and stripes. This black top is currently on sale for $32 and super cute. I'm already planning to pair it with skinny jeans and white pants! This scalloped skirt is a perfect closet staple and also comes in black. I'm so happy I ordered it a couple of weeks ago. Because it's a simple white skirt with scalloped detailing, it can we worn with a ton of different types of tops. My favorite part of this outfit may be my striped espadrilles. I ordered these from J. Crew Factory when they were having a sale and they are sold out now, but I found a very similar pair here. These espadrilles can be paired with a simple white dress or with white shorts or pants. I'll definitely be packing these for San Fran!

Palm Leaf Shorts

I wasn't kidding when I said this off the shoulder blouse was going to be a summer favorite. It's so versatile that you can wear it with anything... jeans, printed shorts, skirts, or even white jeans for a white on white look. I decided to pair it with these fun palm shorts. Palm and tropical prints are a huge trend this summer that I'm loving and these shorts were a total score when I found them at Old Navy for $15. They have a little bit of stretch to them so they are really comfortable. I also like how my pink Ray-bans add a little pop to this outfit. I had been obsessing over them for a while and I caved a couple of weeks ago and ordered them when Nordstrom was having a sale. They are perfect for summer.

This flowy kimono dress is one of my all time favorites. It's super bright which is perfect for summertime, but what I love most about this dress is it's shape. With billowing sleeves and an oversized silhouette, this silky kimono-style dress is bound to be on my body for an upcoming date night, shopping trip, or brunch (I'll pretty much wear it everywhere). This specific color is sold out right now but it also comes in a tropical print with flowers and palm leaves. It's just as perfect for summer. I've also linked a few of my other Wishlist floral dresses. 

Jess and I booked last minute tickets for San Francisco next week! It'll be my first time in the city and his second. I'm super excited and can't wait. We will be visiting family but will definitely take some time to do some sightseeing. Any suggestions? We're planning on seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, and the Redwoods. I'll definitely have to ride in a cable car too. Let me know of any other cool places we should visit or places to eat.
