Cranberry Vest

Tuesday, September 29, 2015

Vest: J. Crew Factory (sold out similar here and here) | Striped Tee: Old Navy
Jeans: Hudson | Booties: Splendid | Tote: Nordstrom | Necklace: J. Crew Factory (similar here) | Watch: similar | Bracelet: J. Crew Factory | Rings: BaubleBar (here and here)

This cranberry/burgundy/maroon color is my favorite color for fall. It's so rich and just screams fall. This vest is J. Crew factory from last year, but I linked two similar vests above. Also, this striped tee may be one of my favorites and it's only $10! I also have it in red and white stripes too and I'm thinking about getting the mustard color (also another fall color favorite). I don't think I need to explain my love for these booties. They're definitely worth the extra money and super comfortable. I wore them shopping for several hours on Saturday (and let me tell you I covered some ground at the outdoor mall in Birmingham - probably my new favorite place ever).

PS I found a coupon code for BaubleBar.com where you can get 20%, 25%, or 30% off. Just follow this link and enter in your email. You'll be entering their sweepstakes for a chance to win $1000! After you enter, you'll be given a coupon code. I got 30% off!

Friday Favorites

Friday, September 25, 2015

These are a few of my current style crushes that I am loving for fall. A lot of these items would pair perfectly with items already in my closet. I am obsessed with this utility jacket. It's my absolute favorite fall color and a girl can never have to many jackets, right? Also, this bag is the perfect everyday bag. It can fit a laptop which is convenient for a working gal or a student. I like the french grey color because it will look great with any outfit. I'm dying over these booties. They are super on trend and will spice up any outfit. Let me know what ya'll are crushing on this fall!

Plaid Shirt + Puffer Vest

Thursday, September 24, 2015

Vest: J. Crew Factory | Plaid Shirt: Bobeau | Jeans: Hudson | Booties: Target | Watch: similar | Rings: here & here

You can never have too many plaid shirts. They go with anything and can be dressed up with a skirt or dressed down with jeans. One of the reasons I love this plaid blouse is because of the back! The tuxedo tail detailing is super cute and unique and makes it perfect to pair with leggings for a more casual look. I snagged this vest during the J. Crew Factory labor day sale and I'm so glad I did (even though I own about 10 other vests and didn't really need a new one). This white vest will go with almost any outfit and I love the extra warmth it brings.

Thanks for reading.

Farewell to Summer

Pink coverup: The Pink Nickel c/o | Sunglasses: Ray Ban | Beach Tote: Necessary Clothing

Summer is inevitably coming to an end so I took a much needed study break to spend some time by the pool while it's still warm outside. I love this adorable coverup from The Pink Nickel. Its light and airy plus it can totally be thrown over white skinnies and worn as a tunic! This tote is so adorable and I've definitely used it as a travel bag in addition to a beach bag. Take advantage of these last few weeks of pool time while you can, before we have to start applying fake tan (lol)!

Plaid Tunic

Monday, September 21, 2015

Plaid Tunic: Old Navy | Jeans: old (similar here) | Lace-up Flats: Topshop
Tote: Street Level

Plaid is always one of fall's most popular trends, so each year I stock up on new plaids and I was pleasantly surprised with this plaid tunic. It's the perfect length for a tunic making it easy to wear with leggings, plus for the price you can't beat the quality. I'm also loving lace up flats and these red flats are so cute! They're only $45 and I know I'll get a ton of wear out of them in the upcoming months. They also have a black pair and leopard pair. This purse is on major repeat. I also wore it here with the leopard side showing.

Happy Monday ya'll!

Pajama Party

Sunday, September 20, 2015

I haven't had a pajama set since I was a kid. I know, I know that's super strange. So what do I sleep in? The last ten years or so, I would pick the softest T-shirt I owned and a pair of running shorts and call it a night. But when I saw this Geek is the New Chic pajama set, I was sold. Not only is this set is made out of the softest material, but there are dogs, cats AND glasses all over the shorts. How cute is that?! They are perfect for an optometry student. I found a few other pajama sets that are both adorable and affordable.

Happy sleeping!

Floral in the Fall

Romper: Old Navy (only $35) | Booties: old (similar here) |
Tote: Nordstrom (plus it's reversible)

I don't know what's been going on at Old Navy headquarters... but I am loving it. Their fall line is amazing! I saw this beauty out of the corner of my eye and instantly made a beeline for it. I snatched it off the rack so fast you'd think I was in a race. To be honest, it was the only one left and I couldn't believe it was in my size. Not only is the print absolutely amazing, but it's really comfortable and perfect for early fall. I love the long billowing sleeves, to add a little warmth on a chilly fall night. I paired it here with booties, but I can see this romper being worn with sandals or wedges as well! The fact this romper was only $35 made it a no-brainer. I may or may not have gotten the matching pants

I'm wearing my favorite fall lipstick with this outfit. It's called 'Fig' by Smashbox.

Fall Uniform

Monday, September 14, 2015

Striped Tunic: Old Navy (Love it & less than $20!)| Jeans: old (similar here & under $60) Booties: Splendid | Leopard Tote: Nordstrom | Blanket Scarf: ASOS | Hat: Leith

Guess what ya'll? The temps dropped this weekend to the 70s in Birmingham, so you bet I broke out a blanket scarf and some booties! It was absolutely beautiful weather, but unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy it for too long (thank you Fundamentals test). This outfit is my go to uniform for fall. I love pairing my blanket scarf with stripes and this tunic is AMAZING. It's long enough to wear with leggings (which I will definitely do) and its less than $20! Also, did you see that leopard tote?! I have been wanting a leopard bag for fall, but most of the ones I have seen are over $100. I snagged this faux fur bag when I saw it was only $54. Plus, it's reversible!

I hope your week is wonderful! Maybe I'll finally have some time this week to relax and binge watch Grey's.

Lace Hem Sweater

Friday, September 11, 2015

Sweater: Love By Design | Jeans: Hudson | Shoes: old (similar here) |
Watch: similar | Ring: sold out (similar here and here

This seater was a no brainer for me. First of all, I couldn't resist this oversized beauty (it's perfect to pair with leggings in the fall) and how can I not mention the lace hem. It is such a sweet touch that instantly dresses up what would be just a plain 'ole sweater. Plus, it comes in FOUR colors... I'm loving the cranberry color. Second, my heart so desperately wants to feel just a little bit of fall but my brain is saying hold up lady, it's still too hot for that. This sweater is a great solution to the battle between my heart and head. It looks like fall for sure, but the open weaving makes this sweater light and breezy and definitely makes it able to be worn during this end of summer/beginning of fall season. Lastly, I snagged this sweater because of the price (only $26). It's such a steal and super budget friendly for a gal on an optometry school budget.

It's almost the weekend... I can almost taste it. After a week of 3 exams, I need a little R&R. I hope ya'll have a great weekend and thank you for reading!
